Get Verb Usage

There are multiple uses for a word 'get'

Let me discuss most common uses one by one

1.Get----receive,obtain,buy

Example: 
I got some old books from my grandfather. (I received)

Raghu just got a job at the airport...(obtained)

What are you getting me for my birthday?
(Buying).

2.have got---ownership/relationship

Ramesh has got Wi-Fi at home.
(ownership)

I have got two sisters(relationship).

3.have got to --- necessity

I have got to get up early morning tomorrow.

(Same meaning of 'have to')

4.get---offers/requests

Could you get me a cup of coffee?
5.get---reach a place

I got home late yesterday evening because of the traffic

What time will you reach here.

6.get----become/change

I keep forgetting things. I think Iam getting old.

7.get----bad experiences

Vijay's wallet was got stolen while walking in a park.

8---understand.

Yes, I got it.

I have got two cars.
